Andrew Stunell the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (with responsibility for Building Regulations) has outlined a programme of work to improve the system of building regulation in England.
Changes are aimed at helping by considering the current reported regulatory burden on builders, making it more cost effective and simpler for the regulations to be met.
The programme of work is the result of consulting with the industry to try and identify the areas that need addressing, either within the technicalities of the standards themselves or within the applied framework more generally in order to secure compliance.
