Delivering Inclusive Design Advice at Bottle Yard Studios

We just wanted to say a big thank you to Bottle Yard Studios in Bristol, who made us feel so welcome this week. We were there to help them carry out an access audit of their own production spaces.

We were on-site to provide inclusive design advice for their new building developments. With plans to renovate and expand their facilities, the goal is to create a welcoming space for everyone.

More windows and a retractable ridged door with a grey and yellow mark can be seen in the background.

Launched back in August 2022, TAP’s goal is to achieve full inclusion for Deaf, Disabled and Neurodivergent talent by 2030 so that no disabled talent is ever excluded.

The TAP Audit Checklist enables businesses to assess their own access barriers and outlines best practice guidance to remove them. We introduced Bottle Yard Studios to its content and showed them how to use it providing them with valuable insight into how even small adjustments can make the world of difference to disabled talent.

It was a really successful day with lots of questions and enthusiasm and we are delighted they are now planning on hosting their very own training day!

We are currently agreeing TAP training at other studios which is excellent news since many broadcasters are planning on boycotting production spaces that have not completed a TAP access audit by August 2025. And August will be here before you know it!
