Proudlock Associates were delighted to take part in the Neuroplaces Conference. Thank you to our RSHP colleagues for asking us to join them.
At the event, we discussed the Hammersmith & Fulham Civic Campus, exploring how co-design, lived experience and community engagement can shape more inclusive places, from embedding accessibility at the earliest stages of a project to working with disability and user advocacy groups.
We presented lessons from the project and why a ruthlessly inclusive approach should become the default for future development.
Accessibility is not just about whether someone can get through the door. It’s also about whether they can understand, navigate and comfortably use the space.
