Ashridge has worked with Proudlock Associates on three projects so far. Firstly, Proudlock delivered an access audit of our residential building to help us to improve the facilities available to our guests. This has given us really valuable insight into what we are doing well and what we might work on improving. To this end we are undertaking refurbishment of our accessible bedroom with much valued input from Tracey and Liam. We also believe staff training is key to ensuring an inclusive client experience and Proudlock delivered very useful sessions for our team members. Going forward we plan on working with Proudlock again on other projects to help us further improve on accessibility and inclusion here at Ashridge House, something that needs a sensible balance of priorities as we are also working within the beauty, yet constraints, of a Grade 1 listed building. – Anna Brown, Director of Hospitality
Battersea Arts Centre said:
Proudlock Associates are access consultants to the Battersea Arts Centre (BAC) restoration project, funded by Arts Council England and Heritage Lottery Fund (amongst others). Together we are developing plans to develop this much loved London landmark and create a 21st Century theatre in a 19th Century Town Hall. Proudlock Associates have played a key role in forming our ambitious plans for the future and have been a delight to work with at every stage of our process. Their recommendations have been useful, useable and realistic and they have appreciated the need for flexible working in relation to our plans. We are looking forward to working with them to develop the work further and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Jo Hunter, Strategic Development Manager

Davy Smith Architects said:
Proudlock Associates were access consultants for a 37-storey residential tower development at 12-20 Wyvil Road, Vauxhall, for which we have recently received planning consent.
As architects we are familiar with the inclusive design standards, however working with Proudlock Associates from an early design stage brought a whole new level of awareness of the design principles, particularly on a project of this scale.
Taking their advice on board at such an early stage meant that we had the flexibility to adapt our design, delivering what we believe is a successful inclusive scheme, designed for use by everyone. In addition to this, Proudlock Associates produced a very comprehensive Access Statement to accompany our planning submission.
We look forward to working with Proudlock Associates in the future and would recommend them to all architects and clients who wish to have an expert access consultant on their design team.
